Google You And Writing

Now have you ever tried to google yourself? Do you fear in what you may find? I decided to take this challenge. I write under some different names which may or may not of been the wisest choice on my part. The aliases are JannyC, JannyCz, Janny(Jan) Marie and of course my true full name. So I shall go through the many names I go by and give you an inside look as to what I found.

JannyC

Yes the name you all know me by and I was happy to find my hub profile page was on the first page and eight pages down on the list. I also discovered and aspiring model with the same name, here I thought my nickname was original.

JannyCZ

This is the next name I sometimes use if the JannyC does not work for as you know my JannyC name is not as original as I thought. With this result I am on the first page and number one on the list showcasing my Trinod.com profile page. Next after that are some of my articles themselves that someone has back linked on their site which totally amazed me, and I thank them for the linkage. I also discovered that a Czech’s Republic male of 17years uses the name JannyCZ too…who would of thought.

Janis/Janny Cramlett

This is my full legal name though I sometime use Janis or Janny as my first name Janny is the nick and Janis is my given real name. Now that I have cleared that up here is what I have found. To my surprise I found an email finder site which had my name Janny and Janis on there. The most troubling part is it seems that on this site you can purchase my email address and information for a price. The address’s up for sale are my two yahoo addresses I have. I have these two address just for this instant. They are my email address I give out and use for non business and just incase its spam purposes. I use a different and more secure place to do my business emailing on. Yahoo does mention mind you in the fine print they will give out your information which is a little bit unnerving. On a brighter note more of my writing did pop up under my real name via my profile on Writers.net that I used my real name on. My Twitter page also appears too even though my user name on there is AuthorJanMarie.

Janny(Jan)Marie

Jan Marie is my selected pen name for my book writing. When typing this in Janny (Jan) Marie I am on the first page number one spot with my writers.com profile. On the seventh page is my website for my upcoming book “Angelic Confessions.”

The wonderful thing about Google is if you have a Google account then you can delete and promote your links. I didn’t like my Angelic Confessions site was on the seventh page. I then clicked on the promote button and it pushed my site up to the first page. Nice huh? So take the challenge Google yourself and see what pops up.
